MODEL BG-300
The RADeCO Model BG-300 Radioiodine Sampler is a high efficiency, low cost, low pressure drop, TEDA treated charcoal cartridge packaged in a high impact plastic case. It is specifically designed for routine "grab" sampling of airborne concentrations of radioiodine and other gaseous iodine compounds at flow rates of 4 cubic feet per minute or less, retaining a minimum of 85% of methyl iodine at 30ºC and 95% relative humidity.
Each batch of Model BG-300 cartridges is manufactured from pre-tested charcoal. After loading the material into the cartridges, random sample cartridges are selected and subjected to stringent RADeCO radioiodine testing procedures. From this data, RADeCO develops and gives to each customer a Certificate of Performance assuring the user of the quality of the product.
Routinely, these cartridges are used in-line and downstream of a high efficiency filter which will remove radioactive particulates which can interfere with the radioiodine measurement. Filter papers and combination pre-filter and cartridge sample holders are available as accessories for the RADeCO air samplers.
Caution: The Model BG-300 Radioiodine Sampler must not be used in personal respirators for breathing protection.
